Q: How do I get a quote?
A: Contact Chris and conduct a qualifying interview. He will submit the RFQ.
Q: How do I know if my company will qualify?
A: If you are prepared to order a minimum of $30K of product, then we can move forward with an RFQ. Also, consider your volume and distribution needs - if distribution is not in place, you may want to wait for more of a demand for your product.
Q: What types of business do you serve?
A: Currently, we assist many types of companies in the U.S. and Canada. See our Services or Industries pages for further details.
Q: What is the cost of shipping?
A: On average, it costs about $4K to deliver a 40 ft container to your door. Click here for more container details.
Q: How do I know I can trust Chinese manufacturing?
A: Let us manufacture a sample to your specifications and put it in your hands! Or, come to China and inspect our factories for yourself. The quality of the product ultimately depends on the quality of the specifications, drawings, and product samples we recieve.
Q: What is the time frame from order placement to delivery?
A: From the time the RFQ is submitted to the time you get a sample may take from 6 to 8 weeks, but sending a sample directly to our Beijing office will expedite the process. Production runs typically take about 1-2 weeks once the tooling is set up, and delivery is 4-6 weeks.
Q: Do costs of shipping affect target price?
A: Our estimates are comprehensive so the cost per item will be a landed cost (to your door). There is no way around tariffs and duties, but these considerations are taken into account during the quoting process. For more on harmonized tariffs, visit the US International Trade Commission site, and scroll down to find your product category.
Q: Where are the offices/factories?
A: Dallas, Texas (business office) and several locations in China. Click here for a listing. Regional agents are located throughout the U.S.
Q: Is advance payment required?
A: Once you receive and approve your samples and decide to order, then terms of payment can be discussed and established to the satisfaction of all parties. Most businesses operate on Net 30 terms. In general, we require 50% up front, and 50% upon delivery of goods. We can quote FOB Shanghai, or give you a landed cost estimate.
Q: Which products are right for manufacturing in China?
A: Labor-intensive components or products that require assembly are good choices for sourcing in China - raw or commodity products are not.
