Can You Trust Chinese Manufacturing?
|
| |
Perhaps you're wondering: With so many recent toy product recalls, and other international sourcing options, how do I know I can trust (and why should I trust) Chinese manufacturing? Of course, there are liability issues related to any similar venture. The bottom line: You don’t know, and that’s why you need us. It's not rocket science, but here are at least 4 practical considerations:
|
| |
1) Approaching a Chinese manufacturer on your own is very risky. Even If you speak the language, you can’t be sure you are dealing directly with a factory owner. We are factory owners, we speak Chinese, and we have even been taken advantage of once by a manufacturer’s representative who was not the factory owner - so, good luck in your solo venture. As factory owners, we only deal directly with other factory owners, or we don’t deal at all. That’s how we have built a network of well over 200 reliable manufacturers. You can’t find that kind of diversity and strength coupled with level-one relationships with decision-makers anywhere else. That's the Quanxi advantage.

2) Your pursuit of a quality relationship in China can also carry a high price tag. You hire a consultant on retainer or flat fee basis, you get some generic contact information resulting from the consultant’s “research”, you pay additional factory inspection fees, now you’re up to ten grand or more, and you haven’t even spoken with a factory owner or partner. Not to mention, you haven’t been asked for specific product information, your company’s history or needs, and you are trying to squelch those nagging suspicions about the legitimacy of your contacts and their interests. You are sure by now their interests clearly are not the same as yours, and you have wasted a lot of money arriving at that conclusion.

3) Perhaps the biggest potential loss is that of your time. Of far greater value to your business than money is your time, and it is better spent in oversight of your business. You really don’t have the time to conduct “due diligence” on all the possible suppliers in China. We don’t either. In one sense, we have already gone through that process so you don’t have to think about it. We could admit every supplier in China into our network, but we won’t. Quality is far too important, and we have turned some factory owners away who had quality issues – good products, but other glaring problems with management, delivery, or sustainable long-term capabilities. So, is your time valuable? Of course it is, and you won’t stay in business taking any other view of that resource. Utilizing our services will save you time in a commercial world where “time is money”.

4) Not all “quality” shares “equality” in manufacturing. It’s true there have been recent recalls in some noted foreign industries, China among them. But there are also domestic recalls from U.S. suppliers from time to time due to problematic materials or weakness in product design (just check the posted notices at the customer service desk in “big-box” retail stores). You don’t know that the samples you send will be exactly duplicated, but you have your fingers crossed. Relax - we have seven full-time engineers on staff to oversee and communicate with production, so you don’t have to worry about quality. If duplication is the goal, you won’t be able to detect a difference between the sample you send and the sample you receive. You will get a high- quality, exact replica of your product for much less with our contract manufacturing. Furthermore, we offer a 100% buy-back guarantee if there are any problems with your order; thus, further reducing any risk to your company. We don’t want to buy it back because that erodes our profits, so we prevent having to honor that guarantee by having flawless quality assurance measures in place. It’s our attention to quality that sets us apart and sets the industry standards in China.
